The large-scale crossing-valley diversion project of WanJiazhai Yellow River Diversion Project (YRDP) still belongs to for the very first time in the domestic make use of this kind of the big discharge, long piping, high discharge head, complicated interstage tandem pump system with several parallel units in a pumping station. Really therefore the important measure of guaranteeing running safety is to make use of the calculator software to carry on simulation for design verification. Based on analysis of the whole-system, this paper get the object models of the hydraulics computer simulation system from the point of view of hydraulics and project in the way of object-oriented; At the same time, the hydraulics mathematical models are designed and created in terms of the principles of pump, conduit and valve system. But the results of simulation computing are so complex that it is difficult for supervisor to understand rightly and immediately. Consequently, this paper put forwards that the method of visualization of numerical calculation of the conduits and pump system with 3-D objects. Under the environment of Windows, according to the model of the hydraulics computer simulation and the algorithm, calculation results need to be made into some form of visualization by applying graphical display. So all the visualattributes of visual objects are used to represent the simulation results and then all the visual objects are put into the virtual projects scenes. After the analysis of the simulation system, structure and model function of visualization software are designed and created. Considering the characteristics of remote control systems with internet and the practical model of hydraulics system simulation, the paper make use of VRML (virtual reality modeling language) and JAVA as the development tool. Thus this serial computing result of simulation computing is converted into serial 3-D graphical display. Consequently, an algorithm of mapping numerical result into 3-D graphics is designed according to structure of hydraulics simulation and characteristic of simulation model that can effectively speed up the mapping. After this scheme is applied, the visualization of real-time simulation for hydraulics system is realized which traditional- methods could never reach. Theoretical analysis and result of practical numerical calculation indicates that mathematical models > design method of visualization software in the paper is exactly reliable. So the characteristics of system are exactly reliable by calculating visualization. And it tallied with the actual working conditions of the system.
