With the development of computer at the end of last century, the trend that FCS replace DCS become more and more obvious. So it is a matter of great significance to develop FCS.In the process for developing DCS, there are some problems which DCS can not overcome, for instance, different instrument manufactures may adopt different protocols in manufacturing instruments, diverse computer languages have diverse drives which have different interfaces in computer. So application software must have the large quantity of drives which drive different devices and instrument manufactures must develop a great deal of drives for each application software. The software developed by employing methods as described is not agree with software engineer .OPC(OLE in Processing Control) which was put forward in solving communication between application software and vary drives of devices is an important industrial standard. OPC separate the work of application software programmers witch instrument manufactures, which make the work more efficient. Follow the trend of development of OPC , the paper choose FF(Fieldbus Foundation) which has more influential than others as my research orientation.Combining with his research, the author describes the operational principal of OPC in detail, the design and implement of FF OPC Server are also detailed explain in the paper. At the end, the application of FF OPC Server in site is introduced. This software has many virtues and innovational features as follows: FF OPC Server is developed only by a few control systems, in china, only configuration king integrate this function in his system. The author employ DCOM technique which follow the network trend of FCS in FF OPC Server.
