Simulation technology is one of the information technologies, which has developed rapidly in many fields. It has brought a great effect on our society life. In recent years, it has become a popular field for the simulation to utilize the computer simulation technology to analyze danger and to diagnose fault in industry producing process.SDG (Signed Directed Graph) is a directional net graph that is composed of a series of nodes. It can express complicated consequences and contain tremendous information. Applying SDG model to open out the inner consequences and impact of the variables in complicated system is an important branch in qualitative simulation. SDG has the ability to open out the spreading rules of the latent danger and fault in process system and it has shown the advantages in computer HAZOP(Hazard and Operability study) and has been one of the important methods in fault diagnosis. There must be an automatic fault interpretation system according to the automatic fault identification and diagnosis methods that based on the SDG method. In this article, a new automatic fault interpretation system is brought forward according to the new fault diagnosis platform based on the SDG technology. In the past, the simulation systems always only simulated the objects and got the result, but rarely diagnosed the process especially the fault causes of the process and interpreted them in text. It was through manpower to identify and diagnose the fault, and there were must oversight in the process and the periods was very long too. This course project is to design and develop the new automatic fault interpretation system according to the new fault estimation and diagnosis based on the SDG technology.According to actual need, this course project has provided more than one interpretation methods for the fault diagnosis and safety estimation. In detail, the methods are table interpretation, text interpretation and sound interpretation and every method can complete the interpretation independently. The three methods have their advantages respectively and they provide users more than one method to interpret the fault diagnosis and safety estimation.
