In the traditional monitor system often adopts star topological structure, and the up signal (video signal) and down signal (control signal) often transmitted in difference line. So it's very difficult to spread the line in the large monitor system.In the paper, the network camera make it easy. The network camera which we introduced adopts Ethernet interface. Ethernet adopts bus topological structure. So spreading line is very easy. the up signal and the down signal can transmitted in the same line. In the other hand, the Ethernet is very common. Network camera can make good use of those sources. The key matters in the network monitor is:How to code the video data.The video data how to meet the network.How to deal with the control order from the network.In this paper will deal with:The problem to meet the network.The problem to deal with the control order from the network.In the paper, adopted the embedded CPU S3C4510B. To make the project easy and make the system more steady, adopts embedded operate system uClinux. In this paper, introducing a method of setting the MAC and IP address in the embedded network equipments. In the uClinux, we complete all the task though the program which deal with the net and COM interface.
