Wsp Protocol In The Wap Gateway And Its Relevant Part Of The Analysis And Design,

Since 90' s of twenty century, the rapid development of mobile communication technology and Internet technology have drastically changed people' s ways of lives and they became two hot areas of the development of information technology. Combining these two technologies to connect vast information and advanced services into wireless devices, a new technology enabling people to access the Internet anytime anywhere - WAP technology has also been rapidly developed. WAP is the important step to mobile Internet. It became the international standard for expressing and disseminating wireless information over mobile phone and other wireless terminal by virtues of its deep industrial and technological background. Being the industrial standard, WAP is of significant importance to the development of wireless application program and wireless data services; Being the new technology of wireless application, WAP inherently has many unique designs of application for wireless environment. Therefore, it is necessary to study WAP protocol and its core technology as well as its applications in mobile internet.This thesis has in dept studies and analysis on key technologies for WAP core protocol to adapt to wireless application. Based on the studies and analysis of its core protocol and current status of WAP application, I simulates the system architecture of WAP gateway platform and also designs several components of the key technology for WAP gateway platform, including major analysis and studies on the key layer of WSP for protocol translation. At the end, I writes an WML-PHP program and uses WAP browser and actual mobile phone to observe the result of the program activated and run on a server and transmitted to the mobile devises through WAP gateway by WAP protocol. Through this, one can better understand the function of WAP protocol for information flow from WAP server to WAP gateway further to a mobile terminal.
