Chemistry Literature Database (ccbd), The Retrieval System Build And Implementation

Based on the CCBD(Chinese Chemical Bibliographic Database) system, this paper makes a thorough study on the aspects of its comprehensive program and practical implement. CCBD system, which is aimed at promoting the information resource architecture of China, sets a domestic precedent for dealing with chemical literature retrieval. Under my tutor's advice, I looked up a vast amount of technical documents, used other successful experiences for reference, and made clear the feasibility of this system.Firstly, the paper introduces several correlative concepts of information retrieval, and expatiates on its development phases and searching principles. Then, the paper gives a presentation of compact disk searching system, and compares both its advantages and deficiencies. Furthermore, with regard to the existing searching tools, the author illustrates Chemical Abstract (CA on CD) and Chinese Academic Journal (CAJ-CD) respectively.In the main section of the paper, the author puts forward the holistic project of CCBD system, then explains the choice of program, the creation of databases and the design of arithmetic with flow chart and module chart. In addition, each functional module is depicted in detail.Finally, looking into future, the author points out the development trend of CCBD system, and discusses several critical technical issues in order to communicate the viewpoints and thoughts with all the others.
