Based On The Of Ns2 Computer Network Virtual Laboratory Design And Realization

As the rapid development of Internet, remote education as a new teaching mode has been an important research topic in education field. The realization of experiment teaching is the emphases and difficulty, and virtual lab is an efficient way to resolve this problem. This paper mainly researches the application and implementation of computer network virtual lab.By analyzing and comparing existed computer network course virtual lab system, contra posing to the weakness and shortcoming, this paper proposes a new computer network virtual lab system based on NS2.The system adapts NS2 as the emulator of server-end, witch take advantage of the NS2 multi-protocol emulator's powerful function and overcome the shortcoming that students must study NS2 emulator.The system use Java Applet to realize client-end, use Java RMI to realize the communication of client-end to server, use Java Bean to realize virtual equipments, use components to develop lab lib. On this lab platform, users aren't strict with time, place, equipments, and can easy, quickly, cheaply, efficiently construct network emulator environment. By analyzing data and dynamic demonstrating emulate process, this system can make students clearly understand computer network's complex behavior, master the knowledgeable of computer network course. This experiment platform can reach the education's requirements.
