| Millimeter Wave (MMW) mixer is one of the most key equipment of many MMW systems, however it is difficult and high costed to research on MMW local oscillator with low phase noise. To overcome these problems, MMW harmonica mixer is researched in this dissertation.At first, the theory of MMW harmonic mixer is comprehensively introduced in the dissertation, and then a 3mm fourth-subharmonic mixer and two types of 8mm fourth-subharmonic mixers are designed with ADS(Advanced Design System) software. Furthermore, these fourth-subharmonic mixers are simulated by means of Harmonic Balance. At last, a 8mm fourth-subharmonic mixer is developed, and its performance can meet the requirement of certain system. |
