To record the scene of the crime, it needs not only the image of all objects' position but also the relative distance of the objects. Now Policemen have to measure the distance by hand. In this system a digital camera is attached to a computer to record the scene from different angle, a user only needs to click on the two points on the scene image using the computer "mouse" , then the factual distance between this two points could be measured instantly.In this system the technique of coordinates transformation and camera calibration solved the problem of the relationship among the 3-D coordinates and image coordinates of one point, and then achieved the purpose of measuring the distance.
