At first in this paper, the features and causations of nonuniformity in infrared imaging systems and sense of the scene-based NUC are described. Several basic methods of nonuniformity correction (NUC) for FPA, espcially the scene-based methods are studied and induced. In accordance with the limitation of the most scene-based NUC, that were confined to study the theory and were short of practice, combining the different NU fetures of the output of the first and the second generation FPA detector, this paper proposes three new ways for NUC which neglect presuming thermal: full-scale non-uniformity correction; high-pass filtering; weight average filtering.These algorithms overcome the common limitation of the present scene-based NUC and have satisfactory effect and can be realized through hardware easily. At last each method are analyzed and compared, and the characters and applicated fields are presented at the same time.
