The test system of infrared nonuniformity is designed and implemented in this paper. First the causes and features of nonuniformity in infrared imaging systems are described, and the two-point algorithm is chosen for the testing and correcting. After making careful research on the features of scanning and staring IR imaging systems and analyzing document format of BMP, a test system of infrared nonuniformity is founded by Visual Basic programming language. The nonuniformity of scanning or staring IR thermal imager can be real-time tested, and the output, the gain coefficient & offset coefficient are calculated and displayed on the system interface. The correcting emulation is also added in this system, and two-point correction can be processed using the gain & offset coefficient which have been calculated.A novel software algorithm for blind elements is researched and programmed. It is another characteristic of this paper. The judgments to the special positions of blind elements are greatly curtailed, and excellent effect is received.
