Web-based Data Mining Technology - The Design And Realization Of The Web Content Mining

The World Wide Web is a distributed global information resource containing a large amount of data relevant to essentially all domains of human activity. Given the high rate of the volume of data available on the WWW, finding useful information in such a large amount of data becomes a more difficult process every day. Data Mining is the term given to the automated discovery of non-obvious, potentially useful and previously unknown information from large data sources. So obtaining valuable information by Data Mining techniques intelligently and automatically, improving efficiency of the WWW has tremendous application values.In this paper, we first generally introduce the improvement of WWW and some problems unsolved. And then we describe the basic concepts and theories of data mining. The following is dissertated the application of data mining techniques to the World Wide Web, and discuss in detail the content,characteristic,problems unsolved of web content mining and web usage mining. And then, we generally introduce the techniques of use for Data Mining in the paper –java and xml. Through a concrete sample, we describe in detail one of the method that realize Web Data Mining. Finally we make a conclusion of the paper.
