Insurance Agency Data Warehouse System Design And Realization

Data warehouse technology is developed with the techniques of data model, database and application development. The main aim is to provide decision support by analyzing and processing jillion data. In substance, data warehouse is a database application which use itself DBMS. In deed implementing data warehouse still exist many technical problems. Data warehouse technology is not only regarded as an important research subject of database system by many researchers but also as the prime technique of information management and decision support by a good many enterprise people. Under the circumstance of great development of information and business, data warehouse technology has expansive foreground and great potential.This paper is based on the design and the research of data warehouse based on the insurance agency business system. Firstly, it is simply introduced the character and the current situation of the insurance agency. Secondly, we introduces the definition, character, system structure of the data warehouse and the technologies relevant to the data warehouse. And the common data warehouse solution in current market. We get the demand of the data warehouse project based on the insurance agency, according to the analysis of the insurance agency business system and the demand of the insurance agency companies. Then it is focused on the design of the data warehouse model, mainly discussed the design of the concept model and the logical model. During the period of building the data warehouse, we mainly researches the method of the exaction, transform and load of the data in different kind of data resources. At last, it summarizes the research results and puts forward the future work.
