MicroChannel plane(MCP) is a type of electronic multiplier, which is widely applied to scientific research and industry, especially to night vision in the military field. MCP is one of core components in a image intensifier, and its noise, which has been being the major puzzle that influences the finished products rate of the image intensifiers and the detecting distance of the low-light-night-vision device, is mainly caused by MCP.The dissertation firstly analyzes the major sources of noise from MCP, and then introduces a new technology to reduce MCP's noise by enlarging the holes of MCP.A hardware system composed of biological microscope, CCD, computer is constructed to make a photo of MCP's holes. Based on the image processing theory, a software used to calculate the size of MCP's holes is programmed .At the end of the dissertation, it is introduced how to realize the software with image procession tool of MATLAB. |
