Research And Development Of Internet-based Ups Remote Network Monitoring System

Based on adequate investigation to the online monitoring and controlling systems and deep analysis of various construction modes of them, this paper establishes a platform for online monitoring and controlling large-scale mechanical and electronic equipments. It takes UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) as an example and realizes the remote online monitoring of UPS. It improves the work efficiency of them. Moreover, it reduces the management cost and enhances the stability and reliability of the whole system.This paper takes emphases on embedded TCP/IP technology based on Internet, also has a research on network communication, serial communication and database accessing under Windows OS. After analyzing the requirements of the remote monitoring and controlling system for UPS, this paper puts forward a solution based on embedded TCP/IP. In this paper it describes design and realization thoughts of all parts of the system in detail, it puts emphases on the design and realization of embedded gateway, and gives its hardware constitution and software realization. Furthermore in this paper it explains detailedly the design and realization of remote monitoring and controlling platform and shows the software flowcharts. At last, it lists parts of the program codes and gives the running outcome of software. As a result the system is debugged and tested successfully. The success of the system proves the validity of the research and the magnificent future of the online monitoring and controlling system based on embedded TCP/IP.The platform for online remote monitoring and controlling equipments sustains effectively the service of manufactures to clients, presents an universal way of administering large-scale mechanical and electronic equipments remotely, and has important effects on advancing the informationization of small and medium-sized enterprises.
