Drawing Information Search And Bom Table To Establish Technology Research

With the development of CAD/CAM technology, CAD technology popularizes in most of the enterprises. A lot of drawing documents are accumulated and generated in every engineering design and product design, it is very necessary to search the drawings that are needed from large drawing documents rapidly. At the same time in order to manage the material flow effectively, it is also necessary to pick up the information of the title block and component list block automatically from CAD drawings, then the information is deposited in database, so we can realize the management of product BOM lists to improve the automatic management of the enterprises, it establishes the base of PDM-oriented management of drawing documents in enterprises.DWG file format and characteristics of title block (including component list block) are analyzed in the engineering drawings in detail. The dissertation puts forward a new way to extract engineering information from title block and component list block. Technology of searching drawings information and setting up product BOM lists are researched with the method. Furthermore, according to the mechanical drawing standards and correlative standards mechanical ministry issued, drawing management system software is researched and developed based on studies by mean of development tools of Visual C++ 6.0 and OpenDWG Toolkit (ODT).Main functions of drawing management system are as follows:By reading DWG files directly, drawings are previewed real-timely; text information of the title block is extracted automatically, which contributes to searching drawings accurately and fast according to engineering information of the title block; text information of the title block and component list block is extracted automatically and deposited in Access database through ODBC technology. Then operating the database through ODBC technology again, product standard parts BOM list, homemade parts BOM list and outsourcing parts BOM list are set up and output with clustering and collection.Worked out by the procedure, debugs and test repeatedly, it has verified that this procedure has succeeded in realizing above-mentioned functions, which proves the correctness and feasibility of this new method.
