Research And Implementation Of The Stamping Die Cad System Based On Knowledge

To improve the intelligent level of die design is a key problem in CADD (Computer Aided Die Design) field due to the complexity of die design and the great dependence on designer's experience.In order to deal with die knowledge, including manage knowledge, technical knowledge and design experience, KBE (Knowledge Based Engineering) is used. The knowledge is handled by different way according to different knowledge format, such as formula, table, chart, rule and case. Some key technologies, such as the compound CBR and RBR technology and a new calculating approach of pressing center are studied.The three modules (task and project manage, compound reasoning design and computer aided arts and crafts calculate) are developed using CATIA development module CAA, VC++6.0 and Oracle 8.06. The CADD system has been used well in an aviation project of the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation.
