The key point of textile competition is the various patterns of product. Thus, pattern-design plays the most important role in the textile industry. Recently, the intelligent pattern design system based on artificial intelligence and image processing has been developed rapidly. However, the current system is not capable of collaborative work between designers neither can they meet the requirement of information exchange and group design. On this account, to develop a network based collaborative pattern design system to improve the capability and efficiency of textile pattern design is of great importance.In this paper, we started by analyzing the key techniques and the architecture design of a network based integration. Here we employ the web service based network integration techniques to establish a suitable integrated framework and complete the experimental test. After that, a system framework model based on a replicative architecture is introduced by analyzing the demands of collaborative pattern-design. Additionally, for the concurrent problem during them design process, we proposed a novel multi-versioning approach and also developed a locking combination for this method.By testing our key techniques, we have established a network based intelligence pattern design system by extensive research and practice. Furthermore, we also give a pattern-format, which provides the stylists more flexible in information exchanging during collaborative design. By exploring the consistent problem in pattern collaborative design, we have made a creative framework for the future work.
