The complexity of modern radars leads to difficulties in radar system research and development,radar system testing,and radar training etc.. Modern radar system simulation technology is the combination of digital simulation and radar technology,which provides effective solution to meets the demand of modern radar system design and training. Radar signal simulator features economy,flexibility,practicality,etc. It's significant to develop radar simulators for radar research and manufacture.This dissertation discusses mainly the analysis of ground clutter spectrum in sum and difference channels for airborne phased array radars(APAR), and the design of the radar signal simulation resource and the video output of the APAR simulator.Briefly, here are main topics of this thesis:(1) Radar signal model was analyzed (targets, clutter), and the simulation method was introduced.(2)According to the requirements of the interface and the video output of the system, the boards about the radar simulation resource and video output were designed.. (3) PCB routing and test of the radar simulation resource board and D/A board of the Radar Simulator were completed.(4) The programs of the above two boards were completed. (5)As part of a research project in national "9th 5 - year plan", we designed a set of APAR video signal simulator which fulfils the technology requirements and could provide desired radar video signal for certain APAR and meet the demand of APAR system research and development on ground.
