With the rapid development of modern radar , the function of modern radar is more an more complex .It becomes more difficulty in radar system research , development , radar system testing ,training etc...So the research on Radar Signal Simulator becomes one of the emphasis in martial area . The Radar Simulator can be configured with multi parameter of radar and surrounding flexibly ,and generate multi kinds of echo signal of radar. It reduce the cost of radar research and testing efficiently. This project based on the research of PD Radar Simulator ,give the mathematic model of the ground clutter and target ,generate the data of them .Then the data has been translated to the memory of the simulator by a PCI card. The mainly work of this project:1 A mathematic model of the ground clutter for Airborne PD Radar is established and the clutter power spectrum is calculated by the method of integrating reflected energy between constant Doppler loci in range-gate circle.2 Rayleigy and Weibull distribution ground clutter for Airborne Phased Array Radar(APAR) general pulse signal was simulate with method of zero memory nonlinear transform.3 APAR simulator system software for APAR echo environment setting ,simulation signal generating and simulator control etc., is developed in Microsoft Visual C++ environment with object oriented design method. User can set radar environment parameter of radar and the carrier .Function such as APAR clutter and targets data generation, analyzing, storing, viewing, loading and simulator control etc, are provide. Object oriented design method enhanced the software modularization and program reuse capability, it's also easy to maintenance program source code.4 A PCI card is designed to translate the data from the computer and simulator. S5920 and the EPLD is used in the design.5 The driver of the PCI card is developed by WDM.
