Hai Yi Zi Jiao Notes Theory

Hai yi zi includes 5 volumes, and the author is Wang Wen Lu who lived in the period of Ming Dynasty. According to the character and demand of our major, this thesis will explore the thought of the book.. To gain this aim, this thesis checked, annotated and translated every chapter and give brief explanation to each one. On the basis of these, studies and exploration was made on the author's life and works, styles of writing and the major thought included in the book.Altogether, I selected six types of edition to check, and most of them were printed delicately and have great values for us.There are many uncommon words, regulations and institutions, important historical people and idiom in Hai yi zi, my thesis analyzed every article and clause in order to explain them explicitly.In the process of translation, I mainly did it word for word, accompanied with the other two translation methods. I tried to reach confidence, intelligibility and refinement.Each chapter-explanation was written for exploring the spirit and summarizing the meaning.On the ground of micro-observation, my thesis will put forward some ideas on the thought of the book in the three aspects as the following:I. The life and works of the author: The author lived in the middle time of Ming Dynasty. He had many works which had been included in the book of Bai ling xue shan.II. The compiling form of the book followed and improved that of Yang Xiong's Fa Yan: I thought the book's compiling form followed and improved that of Fa Yan by Yang Xiong in Han Dynasty, and compared the compiling form of the two books on the naming shape, the arrangement of structure, the feature of sentence pattern, the style of language, the level of tone, the skill of rhetoric and the means of expounding, in order to appear the book's compiling feature.III. The major thought of the book: The content of the book is wide-spread, and the thought included in the book is rich. This paper will take up the following three questions: the world view and the academic view.
