Middleware Based On The Component Transaction Server (jaguar Cts) And Applications

There are lots of shortages in the traditional c/s structure [TCSS]. TCSS is a structure with lots of shortages based on one tier of server. In it, data are concentrated in database and managed uniformly, and applied logics arc distributed in different applied structures of clients in the network. The application of multi-tier structure [MTS] can not only get over the faults of TCSS but also bring about a new revolution. In multi-tier structure, the client of TCSS is split into two parts: client application and server application. The client application is one part of the older client application .The other part has fallen under the server application. The new server applications are in charge of the central and changeful operation logics. The new client application is a charge of the simple and changeless operation logics and client interfaces. Therefore the MTS can split logic application into two tiers, and manage respectively, improve the rate of reuse of code, and so on. The representatives of MTS are CORBA and COM/DCOM. I have researched another MTS, namely Jaguar CTS, in this article. Firstly, I have introduced its primary characters and its interrelated knowledge. Secondly, Jaguar CTS supports lots of groupware (including the groupware of Java, of ActiveX, of C, of C++ and of PowerBuilder). I have outstandingly researched the groupware of PowerBuilder and provided some codes and examples. Finally, there are two introductions of the applied software about Jaguar CTS. Both of they have brought about some benefits of society and economy.
