Traditional development method of embedded system becomes more and more unacceptable along with the increasingly deeper application of embedded systems. With a view to improve the situation, we do some researches focusing on the simulation development techniques of embedded system software, and design a prototype system of embedded Linux simulation development environment in this dissertation.Firstly, an analysis of the traditional development model of embedded system is given. We present a simulation-based development model. Afterwards, the existing simulation development techniques are discussed.Secondly, an analysis of the device management mechanism of mainstream operating systems is presented. Based on that, a new device simulation scheme with its design and implementation are presented.Lastly, aiming at the composition of embedded target, the dissertation presents the concept of embedded device object and its management framework. From that basis, we implement a relatively complete embedded Linux system simulation development environment.In brief, this dissertation presents a relatively effective device simulation scheme, and it lays a foundation for further research.
