This paper studies the design of information system which bases onintranet. According to the situation and the development trend of information system.it analyses the overall structure of information system.It adopts the scheme that combines the C/S(Client/Server) to B/S(Brower/Server).As the result,conciseness and augmentability are reached; Also,technology of software engineering is applied in the design.All the tasks of the several phases of software engineering are shown in the paper, while many examples illustrated.The technology of softwareware engineering will greatly improve the qulity of design.The advanced modeling technology including modeling tools such as ERWin and Visio is also adopted in design,which improving not only efficiency in work but also the systemic maintenance.In order to solve the fault in designing in report, OO(Orient-Object) technology is applied.Therefore,it comes true for user to freely design report. And user can save the report designed as model for later use, which improving the flexibility.Also,this paper puts forward a new way that combining the artifical rule preassigned to intellective search to solve problem of timetabling.There is more,security of information system is dicussed.And the idea of layer security model is developed. At last,much other key technology is dicussed,such as database integration, technology access to database etc.This paper originates from practical project in which the applied software is accomplished for Xinjiang Nomal University.Teching management information system, post-graduate management information system and equipment management information system are realized about this paper.Now these systems work well.
