With the development of the network technology and the opening of the network services market, the demand for the multi-service is great than ever. The trend of the convergence towards an IP-based core network is obviously.A multi-service network consists of the optical infrastructure, IP core and multi-access. The idea of building this kind of network has accepted by almost all the people in the world. In the telecommunication field, there is a common idea of deploying the telecommunication service on a next generation network with an IP core using the Softswitch technique. The framework of the Softswitch shares the idea of open standard, distributed structure and service driving. In this framework, new services can be provided with building application servers.The IP Phone Info Server is a kind of application server to provide an information service for the IP Phone in the Softswitch network. The way of how to develop an application server in the Softswitch network is discussed in this paper.
