Linear frequency modulated continuous wave (LFMCW) radar has many characteristics of simple structure, small volume, light weight, low cost, low transmitter peak power, short wavelength, thus it is especially suitable to be used in radar image, research of target characteristic, end control and guide, battlefield spy, scene watch etc. and more people in the world interested in it, it will have a wide prospect. In present, our country had many achievements in research in linear frequency modulated continuous radar, but if we want to turn those achievements into practicality application, it need one efficiency hardware platform. In this dissertation, one general digital signal processing hardware platform was established which based in progress in DSP technology and inter circuit technology.In this dissertation, at first, introducing the theory of linear frequency modulated continuous wave radar. The designing of the signal processing hardware platform is basing on the algorithm. The collecting data can be inputted through dual-port RAM, also can be inputted though PCI interface. Briefly, here are main topics of this dissertation:(1) The relation between the resolving power of the linear frequency modulated continuous wave radar and the linearity of linear frequency modulation signal.(2) Introducing DSP technology and PCI interface technology. TMS320C6201 was a kind of new and high speed DSP. It's the core device of the general digital signal processing hardware platform. PLX9054 is a general PCI controller, it has the property of high performance and friendly interface. In the dissertation, introduced the main characteristic of TMS320C6201, and finished the schematic design.(3) PCB routing and the signal integrality simulator were completed.(4) The program of FFT algorithm was completed in C. It was an evaluating for the general digital signal processing hardware platform.
