Linear frequency modulation continuous wave radar has the characteristics of no detection dead zone,high distance resolution,low transmission power,and simple structure.With the deepening of theoretical research and improvement of radar technology,recently LFMCW radar is widely used in UAV,automobile and other military or civilian fields.This thesis firstly has analyzed and studied the basic methods of target ranging and velocity measurement using symmetrical triangular LFMCW radar.Secondly,a frequency estimation algorithm based on Rife algorithm and Jacobsen algorithm is proposed for frequency difference frequency estimation,which not only improves the performance of frequency estimation,but also guarantees the real-time performance of signal processing with less calculation.Then,the azimuth parameters of the target can be detected more accurately based on the phase angle measurement and the full phase FFT algorithm.Finally,this thesis presents the implementation process of a complete algorithm for a variable period symmetric triangular LFMCW radar,including windowed FFT,constant false alarm detection,joint frequency estimation,multi-object matching,etc.,to achieve multi-target ranging,velocity measurement and angle measurement.The result of Matlab simulation vertificates that algorithm has a higher accuracy.This thesis has also designed and developed a radar digital signal processing board based on FPGA and DSP,mainly including FPGA module circuit,DSP module circuit,four-channel AD sampling module circuit,Ethernet communication module circuit,and auxiliary circuits such as power supply and clock.Basic debugging and main function module program are developped.Finally,the signal processing algorithms of LFMCW radar have been realized on DSP proving that the verification algorithms can achieve real-time multi-target detection and has a high application value.
