The traditional equipment for the level measurement, such as the pressure sensor, is simple and easy to use but it’s difficult to ensure accuracy.For liquid level measurement by ultrasonic, which has a low cost, and due to attenuation of ultrasound in the air, will result in a substantial fluctuation of the echo signal,which will further causes a large measurement error.For the laser level measurement,the accuracy is high, but the measurement will suffered a lot from the influence of environment. Microwave level measurement does not require contact with the liquid surface, and could achieve a ideal results even in a relatively harsh environment.The use of a frequency modulated continuous wave radar level measurement has the advantages of high-precision, high-resolution, which made it a hot research direction of level measurement system.Firstly the paper analysis the principle of level measurement by the linear frequency modulated continuous wave radar, analyzed and simulated the FM signal and the beat signal. Secondly the Linear frequency modulated continuous wave radar level measurement system design are discussed.In the part of system implementation, mainly studies the hardware realization,than simulated of signal processing module of the system.
