Integrative Testing Instrument for GSM handsets is used to measure some important parameters of GSM handsets, such as signal quality and function performance. Its base-band module is mainly made up of four DSPs: signaling, submitting, receiving and testing. This dissertation mainly discusses the implementation of the software for the receiving DSP. In the process of implementation, it is essential to find a scheme to solve the following problems: (Identification of the logic channel type of signals from handsets, which is the key to determine which decoding module should be called. (Decoding the signal from handsets correctly, which depends on whether the comprehension about the channel decoding protocols concerned is right and whether a pattern for data-storing can be developed. (The rather high requirement for real time processing. Whether failed to contain the process in the strictly limited time , the whole system could not work . As an achievement, a mature channel-judge scheme has been developed, which answers for the requirements of real-time processing. And debugging practice has testified that in this scheme the receiving DSP can accurately decode all the signals from handsets. In the fifth chapter this scheme is discussed in details. Other contents: In the first chapter, the preface is presented; In the second chapter, a general introduction for the GSM Integrative Testing Instrument is given; In the third chapter, on-chip peripherals used in substrate DSP software are introduced; In the forth chapter, protocols of GSM wireless interface signaling are introduced; In the sixth chapter, a conclusion has been drawn.
