Integrative Testing Instrument for GSM handsets is used to measure some important parameters of GSM handsets, such as signal quality and function performance. Its base-band module is implemented with the DSPs+FPGA architecture. This system is scalable, maintainable, universal and suits for modularization design of real time signal processing. As well, it just needs a short development cycle.Based on signal processing methods including DSPs and FPGA, the implementation of physical layer protocols of GSM is discussed in detail. The main content of this thesis is the hardware design, debug and substrate software development of base-band signal processing board. The thesis consists of five chapters:In chapter I , GSM integrative testing instrument and its base-band signal processing board are introduced briefly. The main considerations of hardware design of the later are presented. In chapter II, on-chip peripherals used in substrate DSP software are introduced. In chapter III, the boot design of DSP system is discussed. In chapter IV, the FPGA implementation of 24 bit and 39 bit digital correlators is analyzed. In chapter V, DSP implementation of GMSK modulation and demodulation algorithms in GSM system are discussed in detail. |
