The moving object detection,recognition and tracking technology is an important research subject in digital image processing domain. This technology and its application are eargently required in military and civil affairs. Implementation of our research project-infrared moving object detection and tracking system is based on DSP with high performance and host computer. Object detection and tracking is carried on with DSP image processing board. Host computer is an industrial PC running Windows NT operating system. A Win32 application program running on PC performs the whole System control and back-end data processing function. The interface of the board and host is PCI bus. In this dissertation is discussed the data communication design and implementation of the upper and under layer module of DSP-PC video image processing system. At first, is introduced the System's function requirement and design. Then, is presented the analysis of the system's PCI interface module. According to the data transfer operation of the chip PLX Pci9054, in this paper, is mainly discussed the hardware implementation and WinNT device driver design of the PCI interface module. At the end of the dissertation, is briefly introduced the install and debug of the device driver. The DSP-PC system running result shows that Pci9054 device driver work well and fulfill the data communication task of PCI interface module.
