Following with the fast development of information technologies, real-time systems have permeated through many fields of our life, including traditional automatic control, digital control, military affairs, space fight, manufacturing, communications, and even the popular information appliance and multi-media broadcasting system. Those systems have brought forward more and more needs towards real time performance and stability. At one time, during the development of complex real-time systems, kernel design techniques have changed from the traditional methods such as C language, assemble language and DSP, to using the object-oriented technologies among with the design patterns and software engineering methods. For the reasons mentioned above, how to use the OO technologies during the process of constructing a real-time system is a hotspot in the computer-engineering field. Thus the research on this question is in our focus now.In the first part of this thesis, I focused on the introduction of UML and its extensions in real-time fields: ROOM (Real-time Object-Orient Modeling), which covering the mainly concepts such as port, connector, capsule and so on. Using these modeling concepts and notation, we can describe real-time system well and truly.On the base of the techniques mentioned above, we then settle about architecture and construction of a real-time medical parse system in detail. On the discussion of such a typical soft real-time system, we describe the common modeling design methods and characters of this kind of system. And then, we also can make a presentation about the combination of computer technologies and specific arts in order to offer some fire-new thinking in pervasive computing.At the end of the essay, a summary of research on all aspects are given, along with hope of possible refine of further research.
