Computer Simulation is a rising technology that simulates the variety and result of the impersonality with the application of computer. With the development of computer science and Internet, Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) is widely applied to many fields. It is a new technology that common computers or workstations and multimedia graphical devices are linked together through network. Sharing or full use of information or data is realized in DIS.This article mainly discusses the application of DIS through building a Torpedo Guidance and Control Distributed Interactive Simulation System (TGCDISS). The research methods and contents can be described as follows:1) How to assign multitask of TGCDISS to multicomputer is discussed. A kind of them that assigns multitask to each computer before simulation is discussed mainly in the article, which is used to design the real TGCDISS.2) Multithread technology is discussed in the article in detail. What's more, the technology is applied in the software designed. Synchronization and communication of multithread are discussed too.3) How to design an effective network is also discussed. The network is applied to make sure that the simulation will be carried out correctly.4) 3D model technology is discussed in the article. The 3D models of torpedo, warship and submarine are presented. The multimedia technology is discussed too. The visualization of simulation environment can be realized in this way.5) The DIS software is designed. It is proved to be effectively and correctly according to simulation result. It can be applied to weapon design or evaluation and operators training.
