Gunnery accuracy evaluation is an important means of testing the ammunition performance of shooting arms. In order to satisfy the demand of measuring shooting precision within the effective range of 1000 meters in the developing of small arms, a novel gunnery accuracy measuring system with larg:-area and high precision is rese;irched and explored on the basis of summarizing the existing measuring systems.Taking the different characters of semiconductor optoelectric devices, Position Sensitive Detector (PSD) and CMOS image sensor into account, three non contact gunnery accuracy measuring system, semiconductor optoelectric devices array scheme, PSD intersection scheme and CMOS intersection scheme are brought forward. The optoelectric detecting and measuring principles, the components as well as the trades-off of three measuring schemes are described separately. In the array scheme of with the diaphragm, the optimization of semiconductor optoelectric devices array forms a sky screens. While the bullel passing through the sky screens, the outputs of optoelectronic devices are amplified and coded, and then transmitted to the computer for processing.According to the intersection measuring principle, two optoelectric devices intersecting with the ground into the same angle with, are placed to form one overlapping upright sky screen. With the grabbed image by the software, we can analyze the coordinates of hit points.The emphases are put on the CMOS image intersection measuring system. This paper analyzed the dimensions of target, resolution, responsivity and methods for calculating the coordinates of hit points, and particularly presented graphics user interface (GUI) software MSLIS-2048A linear array CMOS camera. The primary experiment indicates that CMOS image intersection measuring system is feasible and may replace the "paper target", "net target", "board target" and "acoustic target" etc. This method will be widely applied in marv fields in the future.
