Software Radio is a new technology, which possesses many advantages. But in the field of the mobile communication its application is hindered by the present level production.conventional CDMA mobile terminal depends on hardware excessively. So this paper puts forward a new CDMA mobile terminal which is based on the software radio technology.By analyzing the OSI model and the SS7 model, this paper gets the model of the new terminal. And then by applying the method of contrast, the relevant hardware structure is achieved from the hardware structure of the Software Radio and the CDMA. The signal processing of the new terminal is quantified, which proves the feasibility of the structure on present condition. According to the analyses of the quantization, three hardware realization scenarios are described: All-DSP, ASIC+DSP, FPGA+DSP. After contrasting the three scenarios, a conclusion can be drawn: all-DSP scenario is the most flexible; ASIC+DSP scenario has the least power and the best performance; FPGA-fDSP scenario is moderate. When discussing the software structure, this paper begins with the analyses of requirements of the software and results in the software structure. At last this paper completes the design of structure.The accomplishment of the design of structure doesn't mean the end of the work. The core problem of the Software Radio is optimization of algorithm. This paper builds the mathematics model of the new structure and finds the common ground of the algorithm of the terminal-numerical metheods. Two algorithms are used to illuminate the point and they are aimed to resolve the important problem in the new terminal. One is the digital down conversion. The method of look-table is described in detail. The other is synchronization algorithm implemented by software. Two methods are discussed-the all-search method and gliding-search method.
