Research And Application Of Knowledge Of Xml-based Integration Middleware System

In the age of Knowledge Economics and Network Information, the role of knowledge in our society is becoming more and more important. How to acquire and utilize knowledge more efficiently and provide better knowledge service to users is a challenge to knowledge workers now.In this thesis, after an overview of current Knowledge Integration research in the field of Computer Science and Enterprise Management, the fundamental of Knowledge Integration and Middleware technology are first introduced. On the basis of a deep research into the XML-based Knowledge Integration mechanism, the architecture of a XML-based Knowledge Integration Middleware System (KIMS) is designed by exploiting the XML Middleware technology. Then the implementation of this system is discussed in detail. Towards the end of the thesis, a case is studied to show how to apply the KIMS to the Human Resource Management System in the Intelligent Collaborative e-Government Project for Nanjing Local Tax Bureau.The system extends the Mediation method for Information Integration to the field of Knowledge Integration and there are three layers in this system which includes from bottom to top Information Collection Layer, Knowledge Mediation Layer and User Interface Layer. Knowledge from heterogeneous sources such as databases, text and web files is transformed into XML format by wrappers and then stored into a XML Knowledge Base. By using XSL technology the featured display of knowledge is implemented. Those modules such as wrappers, XML Knowledge Base and Graphical User Interface are developed through Object-Oriented and Component-Based methods.
