The Research Of Multi-MIS Integration Based On Middleware Technology

With the development of IT industry and the implementation of network, enterprises information construction continuously becomes intensive, more and more attentions have been paid to the problem of information integration between various management information systems. The management information system which is functionally strong and self-independence can not satisfy the increasing demands. Therefore, in order to realize the contact and communication among various management information systems and break the puzzledom of information insulation, a new effective integration method is needed which can link multiple systems in or across an enterprise and form a distributed application architectures in which resources can be shared and business process can be clubbed together.Middleware technology has been the research frontier in distributed technology field. Middleware is a kind of unattached system software or server program. Middleware is the connectivity software that consists of a set of enabling services that allow multiple processes running on one or more machines to interact across a network. Middleware can not only help enterprise users to accelerate the enterprise information system development process and shorten the lifecycle of enterprise information system but also can significantly simplify the system complexity reducing the repeated work and maintenance workloads. Besides, middleware can shield the system heterogeneity well and integrate the legacy systems which exit in almost every enterprise, which saves IT investment and effectively protect original IT assets of the enterprise.This paper first discusses the ubiquitous problems of different structure and legacy system integration in enterprise management information system. It introduces the development of distributed object technology at length. Then it particularly discusses the theory of middleware, data integration and application integration technique. After that, the author elaborates a method of multi-management information system middleware. Finally, the paper shows a detailed implementation case of multi-management information system client integration.The emphases research work of this paper is how to use middleware to implement integration of management information system. It has practical meaning for the development of management information system with the same type which has high availability, scalability and maintainability etc. The method has been put into use in the real projects and has gained good social and economic benefits.
