Based On Soap / Xml-device Communication Protocol

This paper describes a new method of protocol (GSXP) used by network devices, which is based on SOAP and XML, for communication between network equipment and Goalie Network ManagementSystem0 The protocol makes the corporation among network devices better, the maintenance of the net simple, and keeps the system with opening, expanse and safety.Firstly, The paper analyses the communication protocol used at present, and introduce some background about the GSXP, especially how the technic development gives rise to GSXP. Meanwhile the paper gives a view of the present situation of GSXP compared with those protocol with similar or same function. Secondly, the paper describes the structure and function of GSXP, and analyses the different according to different mode: peer to peer mode and client/server mode. And then specif ies each part of GSXP, such as protocol dispatcher, important information encrypted, digital signature, firmware onlinely upgrade, webservices, log management and so on. Lastly the paper makes an analysis of the GSXP and gives some aspects about it.
