With the development of lntelligent CAD (ICAD) and its increasingly in-dePthaPplication in product design, product innovative design is developing towardintelligentizing gradually. HowerveY, by now most existing product design systemsadopt single intelligent reasoning methods, or integrate several intelligenttechnologies simply. All those traditional methods have limitation in such aspect aspracticability, agility, adaptability transparency and efficiency. TherefOre, it'snecessary to study a new kind of intelligent design systems and integrate intelIigentsymbol reasoning technologies organically into the product design process toovercome the limitation and shortage of the traditional design system, and finallyrealize product innovative design.This thesis discusses about the intelligent reasoning technologies and theirintegrated aPplication to product design, and then studies the intelligentizing ofseveral key technologies in craftwork innovative design, including color design,component design and component layout design.Firstly, this thesis analyses severa1 intelligent reasoning technologies andtheories in product design, describing the reasoning process of each design problemsolution mechanisms and their exceIIence, defect, purpose and limitation. Thisbottoms the integrated application of the intelligent reasoning technologies to thecraftwork innovative design.On the basis of analyzing the cultural connotation and features of bomitecraftworks, this thesis presents a hybrid CBD mode1 to integrate generalized domainknowledge and specific cases together according to the requirement of craftworkstripe color and textUre design, And then the craftwork color design schemearchitecture and the organiZation, retrieval and adaPtation of the Anowledge based isdiscussed.As comPonent is the basic element of the crtheork model, comPonent designis vital during the craftwork design. The thesis presents a prototyPe-basedcomponent design technology and describes the component design flowComponent layout directIy affects the aesthetic and wt value of craftwOrk, socomponent layout design is also an important phase during the craftwork design.After analysing the exce1lence and defect of each layout technology and thepedicularity of the bomite craftwork layout, the thesis presents a craftWorkcomponent layout design teclmology based on genetic algorithm. According to therequirement of layout irmovation, a concept of sub-component is presented and thevisual degree and the abstract degree are bringed into genetic algorithm.Finally, the thesis completes a craftwork innovative design system based onabove technologies, and then simply introduces the architecture, the modules and thedesign flow of the system.
