Distributed Computing Techniques, having showed strong life force in large-scale distributed systems, have become the core technique used to build Application Frameworks and Software Components. Distributed Computing forms three representative mainstream techniques-CORBA, DCOM, EJB. Enterprise application is one of the major fields. In order to accommodate the surrounding full of competition and to meet the international demands gradually, ERP and distributed management is in demand in enterprises. That will strengthen the enterprise competition power. There are some successful large-scale cases applying distributed object technique in aboard. But in china, because of difficulties in exploiting , there are few successful cases in large-scale distributed fields in spite of widely need.Firstly, the paper reviews technologies related to the distributed computing. Then the characterizes of the enterprise ERP technical platforms and application models were analyzed. Combining with the enterprise's demand, the dissertation compares the application performances and technologies of CORBA with those of COM+, J2EE, Web Service, etc. The system adopts CORBA as ERP platform. CORBA specifies a system that provides interoperability between objects in distributed environment, including different platforms, networks, languages, protocols, versions and independent providers. CORBA's strong adaptability meets the current and the future demand. To application model, this paper analyzes the characteristics and performances of CORBA's two existing architectures by experiment, a B/S-C/S mixed model based on CORBA is designed and described in detail. The B/S part adopted the four-layer browser-Servlet-CORBA-EIS architecture. Lastly, the paper shows one of ERP function modules ~ human resource management system. The paper shows how to exploit and configure the system, and provides a solution to some key problems. Parts of system have been working in Human Resource Department, and has gained well appraisement.Distributed services must be reliable, efficient, flexible, and reusable. These requirements motivate the use of the CORBA. It is a better way for enterprises to adopt CORBA to construct their application system. CORBA is also the basic technology of related technologies, the research on it can also be used into them. With the research on DOC , some better solutions will be provided to develop enterprise applications.
