Infrared ray is a kind of means for close quarters and high-speed none-cable communication. Since all along,infrared remot control and measure thecnology is applied widely in many fields such as toy making, home appliances producting and industry measuring and controlling. As the means of close quarters, indoor communication,infrared ray is preponderant to radio.Old infrared remot controlling and measuring system is based on beamed infrared transmitter and so is mostly single-user system. With the non-beamed infrared transmitter appearing,to compose multi-user system is achievable.Represented by MCS-51 series of Intel company,single chip microprocessor is applied widely in all kinds of industy, civil and military fields.Because of its simplicity and liability, relatively mighty function and constantly upgrading, it occupys powerful market although 16bit MCU is becoming mainstream.In some industrial measuring and controlling occasion,it's not expediency to conjunct some devices to the master control computer with cable,while exploiting radio will raise disturbance and the circumscribe of utility application. The system introduced by this article adopts 8051 MCU as microprocessor and exploits emanated infrared channel to consist of infrared real-time distributed dolly control system. The designed base-station and substation(dolly controler) both have infrared interface which can beam and receive infrared signal.By accreting the beaming power,one base-station can control 64 set of substations at mostThe base-station and master PC computer is connected with RS-485 interface,this fullfils the demand of long-distance and high-speed commnication.Experiments manifestate that the software and hardware designing is justified, the anti-disturbance competence is powerful and the realtime capability is satisfactory,and by extension and upgrade, this syetem can resolve the problem of industrial field transportable devices' wireless distributed controlling effectively.
