Browser's Security Technology Research

As a client application program,the browser is a platform through which users interact with network. At present,many malicious behaviors taking place on line are associated with browsers,which do great damage to the users' computers. The research on browser security is put forward in that case. The main work of it is to study the security threats and technique associated with the browser,which is an important part of the network security.Firstly,in this article,we summarize the threats associated with the browser and analyze some main threats including malicious mobile code,insecure Cookies,HTTP protocol bugs and browser' s holes. We analyze the work process and principium of the threats to browser client. Secondly,we discuss the current security technique for protecting browser client and indicate their limitations. In the end,we propose two new methods for the security of browser client based on the current security solution:real-time monitor on data coming in and out browsers and behavior-based monitor on mobile codes. The new methods detect the data coming into and out the browser and the behaviors taken by mobile codes through the browser respectively. Our new methods can improve the security capability for browser client and reduce the threats associated with browsers. These methods have applied to my new product- "galaxy information guard" and got a great success.
