Research And Development Of The Cad System Of Spherical Tanks

With the development of the computers' software and hardware techniques, CAD , which greatly enhances the design ability , shortens the design period and raises the economic profits in enterprises, now has been widely applied in various fields of our society. While the CAD system for pressure vessels, is still far behind other spheres, due to the specialties . So it shows great values to figure out a practical set of chemical equipments' CAD system.Broadly used in chemistry , petrochemistry and other industries , spherical tanks have a great importance in scientific researches .In this article ,we discussed the functional demands, system analysis and system design in spherical tanks' CAD system, solved the problems met in the system development and realized the structural project , intensity calculation and the autogeneration of design documents and drawings.The STCAD system developed here adopts the operating system of Visual C++6. 0 builds the reusable class libraries and modules, realizes the link between the system and the Word2000 and AutoCAD2000, and it can visit the databases needed in design by DAO techniques . Also , we got an ObjectARX scheme to realize the autogeneration of assembly drawings. The STCAD system has a friendly interface . With the favorable functions, the fine openness and excellent integrations , it provides the basis for the further development of integrationized chemical equipment CAD software.
