Study On High Stability Frequency Synthesizer Based On GPS

The stability of frequency is the key specification of many modem electronic systems and instruments. With the booming development of study of frequency source, the theory and the technology of frequency and time measurements in frequency domain becomes more and more sophisticated and comprehensive. At the same time the global position system originally used in military affairs plays an important role in civil domain and has generated magnitude social and economical value. This article studies the use of GPS in traditional domain of frequency measurements using PLL. It describes the structure of GPS controlled quartz frequency system, the system's key problems and its key specifications. It also shows the hardware and software implements of the system.
