A new measure and control system used for resonant frequency measurement of quartz crystal was developed and presented . The integral system is controlled by computer. In this system,an improved Crystal Impedance Meter method is used to measure resonant frequency of quartz crystal. The stepping motor is used to drive the system of workpiece location , and a quartz crystal can be sent to the workpiece location where the quartz crystal will be measured. The error indicate system indicates the result of the measurement. Some new methods and technique are used in this system, therefore the electric parameter of crystal can be automatically measured by controlling of Personal Computer. The measurement system can adjust the errors of measurement, and it results in the high accuracy of measurement and high efficiency of produce. The main factors effecting on the accuracy of measurement have been analyzed theoretically. The main causes which effect measurement accuracy and its action principle are discussed emphasisly when electric parameter of crystal is measured in impedimeter and the appreciate method to solve it is suggested. The result shows that the associated strays of measurement circuit are the main factor effecting on the measurement accuracy . In addtion, the design of hardware and software of the system are also discussed in this paper.
