The swift development of digital technology, communication technology and other technology in many related fields, especially the digital technology coming into every field of knowledge, has resulted a rapidly increasing market for quartz crystals and more request of the quality of quartz crystals. Quartz crystals industry is oriented to miniaturization, high-precision, high-frequency, high-performance and long-term stability, as a result, there is a more and more request of measurement techniques of quartz crystals. Under the background that the crystals measurement has lagged a lot in China, as well as, the main measurement equipments are basically depending on the importation with long price, the development of a new type of quartz crystals measurement system has attracted much attention.This thesis concentrates on the design and debug of the system hardware. The main works are as follows:1. The establishing of system structure: this article analyses the electric model of quartz crystals and the measuring methods of its primary electric parameters. On the basis of analyzing and comparing various measuring methods, π-network method is selected as the measuring method of this system because of its higher precision and its circuit realization is introduced.2. The realization of system structure: the paper takes an emphasis on the design and realization process of the system hardware. The signal generator centered on Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis (DDS) and data acquisition circuit based on PCI bus are illustrated. Also, the basic principle of PCB design in high-speed circuit is introduced.3. The analyzing of reliability and system error: the article analyses the reason of system error and makes a comprehensive evaluation through a large quantity of experiment data and the analysis of system credibility.
