Management Information System Based On Data Warehouse

Based on the DataWarehouse(DW) and decision support syst^m(DSS), this paper presents a data warehouse module on a traditional database. The key point of designing a data warehouse is how to design fact table and dimension table. This paper states how to receive Data Warehouse's subject and how to extract valuable data. Then we get a fact table and five dimension tables. Realize mulit-dimension analysis in DataWarehouse. For solving the extensible issue of DSS, it provides a decision-making and analysis model. Through DTS(data transformation service) and available data are translated into Daja Warehouse from many kinds of data sources. The data in DataWarehouse is visited and showed directly. Future research suggests are given in the end.
