With the development of network,network management becomes a key technology that impacts on network availability and security. In this thesis,first,SMIP/CMIP Management Information Base (MIB) and Management Information Model are separately discussed and compared with each other. Secondly,the model of LAN agent and its MIB are proposed,here LAN is a part of a heterogeneous network. Finally,the scheme of network management function is designed with structured method and the model of SMF is drawn out based on 10164-STANDARD.
