Simulation is indisputably recognized as an efficient, repetitive, economical, safe and confidential approach to train their staffs for the military purposes, and hence is adopted widely. With the development of computer technology, there are more and more applications pressing for integrated simulation, which can solve the problem of region crossed and the problem that simulation process and conclusion reached can not be achieved in one same system. So efficiency can be increased in the integrated simulation environment.Deadline is demanded rigidly in the modern simulation process,so it needs researching. The localization about deadline in Windows NT limits the application of the simulation technology. Linux have advantage in opening its source code, which make it meet the need in real-time simulation. In China, there are lots of applications based on integrated simulation environment. But it is first time that integrated simulation environment based on Linux was created in our country. In the paper, after the feasibility achieving integrated simulation environment based on Linux was demonstrated ,Linux OS and simulation environment was researched with the purpose of creating the integrated simulation on Linux. At first,a kind of architecture was brought forward, and then the arithmetic used in digital or real-time simulation was carried out. At last, the integrated simulation environment named LINSIM was accomplished on Linux,on which digital simulate examination can be completed. At the same time, some new methods were adopted in real-time research, which can improve the efficiency in simulation. And a basic frame of device driver was created in Linux. All of them will be help for completing real-time simulation on LINSIM.
