The crushing equipments are widely applied to metallurgical industry, building material industry, chemical works, water conservancy project and so on. It indicates from engineering applications that the working conditions of crushing equipments are extremely inclement because the load fluctuates considerably.The dangerous circumstance of overloading occurs abruptly when uneven charging or hard materials are loadrfinto the crushing equipment. The crushing equipment must be equipped with the self-protection system in order to run safely at low fault level.And the overload protection system will play an important role in modern crushing equipments.A new type hydraulic control system has been put forward in this thesis based upon analysis of working cases on the cone crushers.lt follows from research in this thesis that the new type hydraulic control system has some outstanding performances such as high automatic control level,reliability etc..And the new system has been successfully used in the Auto-circling Ultra-fine Crusher developed by us in recently,too.And the time-lag problem on hydraulic control of the new system was studied in details.It is well known that the Artificial Intelligence(AI) technology has been developed remarkably,especially in the expert system and knowledge base engineering,in past twenty years.The principal fault diagnosis expert system on hydraulic control unit has been successfully developed based on the CLIPS language and the Visual C++ language in this thesis.The knowledge base and the inference engine in the expert system are programmed by the CLIPS language,and data communication,data processing and man machine interface are programmed by the Visual C++ language. At the same time,the design of bilingualinterface technology was made. It shows that the fault diagnosis system with fuzzy and rule reasoning has high accuracy.
